Did you know the Inventor of the Clarinet was a Denner?
Johann Christoph Denner was a famous woodwind instrument maker of the Baroque era, to whom the invention of the clarinet is attributed.
Denner was born in Leipzig, Germany to a family of horn-tuners. With his father, Heinrich Denner, a maker of game whistles and hunting horns, he moved to Nuremberg in 1666. Two of his sons, Jacob and Johann David, also became instrument builders. At least sixty-eight instruments attributed to J. C. Denner have survived to the present day, although the surviving instruments with the Denner family name are believed to have come from his sons’ workshops.

The Vineyard was designed by Architect John Robert Mitchell and owned by Ron Denner. Ron and John believe that great architecture blends with the environment. Denner Winery, therefore is designed to fit into the rolling hills and is complementary to the geography and culture of the Central Coast.

Charles Denner was a French actor born to a Jewish family in Tarnów, Poland on May 29th 1926 and died September 1995
During his 30-year acting career Denner worked with some of France’s greatest directors of the time, including Louis Malle, Claude Chabrol, Jean-Luc Godard, Costa-Gavras, Claude Lelouch and François Truffaut who gave him two of his most memorable roles, as Fergus in The Bride Wore Black (1968) and Bertrand Morane in The Man Who Loved Women (1977)
